Ok Pete, Willow and Mary. I have been looking on the web for cool stuff for us to do on our trip. How do we feel about going to a gold mine? Panning for gold? I tried to find a place where we could pan for gemstones but no luck. Hot mineral springs? A neat sounding state park called Roxborough. You know the Celestial Seasonings Tea? They have a factory with a tour and a cafe in Boulder. I really want to go there, I love their tea. There is a Peak to Peak highway that starts in Nederland ( Mary you can tell us if that is relatively doable, it says it is 35 miles west of Denver) and finishes in Estes Park. Any other suggestions or stuff people want to do? Pete, I have found lots of state parks where you can rock climb if you are interested. I would love to have some suggestions on what people want to do. I still want to go to Garden of the Gods and horseback ride. What about Red Rocks Mary? Is that open like a park? Anybody playing there while we are in town? I am so excited for a vacation!

By the way, one week! One week with only 2 cigarettes! I went to the store and I got 2 nice shirts for on sale for 20 bucks! That was good. I also found the shoes I need for the wedding, I just have to buy them tomorrow. My dad got moved to rehab today! Finally! Now if he can just stay there and heal and not go back to the hospital. And his rehab is really close to my work which is super cool, I can stop by after work or even on my lunch if I wanted to! I probably won't do that. I like my lunch breaks for reading.

Okay, I found another place. Glenwood Caverns. This place is amazing and has some really cool stuff to do. I think it is down near Colorado Springs. Go to www.glenwoodcaverns.com and check it out! Spelunking, horseback riding, slingshot over the canyon, rollercoaster ride into the canyon, all kinds of neat stuff! Ok, we don't have to go on the tea tour but I do want to at least stop in the gift shop!

you'd be amazed what you can do in a day pete. :) I'd love to go to the tea factory. Garden of the Gods is a park in Colorado Springs that has really cool rock formations and you can go to a local stable and take a horseback ride through there for an hour relatively cheap. :) Ken and I did it when his sister was here in January. The mine sounds cool but the shootout ummmm yeah no. LOL Glenwood Caverns looks super cool but that will be an early morning adventure like ass crack of dawn adventure it takes almost 3 hours to get there. It's doable though. Did you want to do the adventure tour through the caverns where you are crawling around on your bellies Lori? It sounds really cool and I think we can do it in a day like goint to King Dominion back in the day. :)

Oh Glenwood Caverns is actually straight west of Denver past Vail. Totally out route 70. Colorado Springs is south of denver off route 25. Estes Park Rocky Mountain National Park is North and west of Denver past Boulder. Just for frame of reference. :) I'm super excited.

Ok so I keep commenting.....hee hee. But the Roxborough State Park isn't too far away at all it's about as far as going to Red Rocks. Also Red Rocks is open like a park, well actually it is a park. It's open from 5am to 11pm. There's no rock climbing but plenty of trails and of course the ampitheatre and visitor center. The only concerts going on there while y'all are here is Sheryl Crow and John Mayer.

I think Pete is going to be outvoted on the tea factory tour! I haven't talked to Willow about it but I bet he is gonna want to do it too! Did you see the other stuff they offered at the caverns? Cool rides like roller coasters down into the canyon. Sounds cool! That is pretty far away though, it would like to see Vail though. Oh man too much to do! Pete keeps babbling about seeing a ghosttown. Mary do you know of any nearby? I will keep checking the internet cause I have to admit I think that sounds cool too! yay!

Umm not sure if there are any ghost towns in Colorado that are nearby. It's a big ass square state. See what you can find.
