Wednesday-today I went shopping with Jamie! For Mary's wedding in May I needed a dress-for the maid of honor. Mary told me what color, the rest was up to me. But I was having a rather difficult time finding a black dress that wasn't too dressy but that looked good on me. I had some ideas of what I wanted but of course couldn't find anything. I went to Lane Bryant earlier in the week and found 2 dresses but I couldn't decide which I liked more. So today Jamie went with me and she helped me pick the right one. I got some really good bras, too! One was only $3.99! I love the dress, it is just what I wanted! That was a happy moment-finding the dress, it fit, it looked good and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be!
Second place moment goes to something Pete said, I won't actually say it here, it would require too much explanation but damn, it was funny! Made me laugh for a while tonight! Thanks Pete!

Weddings can be such a pain. I just had to spend $250!!! to fly to Florida to buy a $200!!! ORANGE satin bridesmaid dress that you have to buy directly from the store and that I will never wear again! But it is fun to have an excuse to get all dressy and spend time with your friends.

in regards to Angie's comment........AN ORANGE BRIDESMAID DRESS??????? That in and of itself is why I chose to let everyone pick their own dress. Besides having a casual affair is totally cheaper than the whole crazy wedding she-bang-a-bang.

The dress isn't actually too bad - a burt orange and her wedding dress is cream. It's a fall wedding - white roses and tiger lillies. But I'll never be able to use the dress again. That was a really good idea to let everybody choose their own dresses at your wedding. Lori, let me know if you need to go shoe shopping. I desperately need some summer dress shoes and sandals.

Meant to say "burnt orange." A burt orange dress made me think of something from Sesame Street! :)
