Ah yes! One of my most favorite things...well, 3 of them actually. Books! Going shopping tonight and buying books made all the dreary rain disappear. I had a pretty good day today, the good things outnumbered the bad as they usually do on the weekend. This was definitely a highlight, though, wandering around Borders and finding just what I had been looking for. I just finished a book titled "Big Weather" which was a gift to me from Mike. It was about chasing tornadoes and was an excellent read. So I wanted to continue with the weather books and this time I chose hurricanes instead of tornadoes. June 1st is the official start of hurricane season and having some more knowledge about the whole thing will be fun. Hey, I warned you in previous blogs that I am a weather dork! Next, a little fantasy for escape. I've always enjoyed Mercedes Lackey so I figured I would give this one a shot. It's nice to get away to magic, dragons, unicorns and romance for a little while. Like the bumper sticker says "I believe in good men and other fantasy creatures!" Ha ha ha! And last but so far from least, The Dalai Lama. Well, this ties in with one of those metaphysical things. Last night I dreamt that Jamie and I were climbing Mt. Everest. I'm not gonna go into complete detail here, just the important stuff. I was trying to get to the top to reach a Buddhist Temple that was there. I am not sure why Jamie was climbing, but anyway...I arrived and everything was snow covered and beautiful. A white temple with gorgeous gold statues. Unfortunately, I had to wait to see the master. I am unsure whether it was the Dalai Lama or not. He only oversees Tibetan Buddhism so it may not have been him. There are other fragmented images in my head but they wouldn't make any sense if I wrote them down, so I won't. This is not the first time I have dreamt about going to a Buddhist temple. When it happens, I like to read by Buddhism books again. Then earlier this afternoon, my mom started asking me about the Dalai Lama and if I had any of his books (which I do) and if she could read them. So I said to myself while in Borders, you should get another Dalai Lama book. So I did.Saturday

I just finished The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls... it was fabulous! Did you see/hear the storm last night around 11:00pm? Lightening struck right by Greg's balcony and Chloe and Allie bolted inside. It was pretty funny! :)
Yeah, it was excellent! Just when I was lying down to sleep, I heard the rumbles off in the distance. It didn't get too close but it was nice sounds to fall to sleep to!
You guys had rain and I had large marble sized hail, low hanging clouds and lightning and thunder then some light rain. It stayed cloudy today and yes it's Colorado in April so it snowed. It's starting to lay on the grass so far just a dusting, but it's still going. I loved standing on my porch watching the storm.
